Reportage with Umut Vedat Gayretli ‘’Umut Vedat, a storyteller, followed his soul in photography and documentary filmmaking. Umut's lens has been aimed to capture the complexities of human experiences, focusing on cultural interactions, discrimination, and environmental issues.’’

By conveying the complexity of issues like the climate crisis through a localized lens, I aim to help people move beyond feelings of passivity or helplessness and recognize their potential to make an impact. In this sense, I firmly believe that art and storytelling are powerful catalysts for addressing social and environmental challenges. They create spaces for dialogue, awareness, and, ultimately, change. Inspiring individuals and communities -however small the steps may seem- to take meaningful action is the driving force behind everything I do.

We conducted a reportage with Dr. Ekin Özdemirci and Nurten Bayraktar from EkoFilm: Sürdürülebilir Yapım Platformu (Sustainable Production Platform) : The platform presents a roadmap to promote environmental sustainability practices in filmmaking and enhance social awareness by harnessing the industry’s potential for impact.
