About

Co-Climate was founded by an independent producer and storyteller working across Europe, developing creative projects that connect climate justice with human experience. With a background in film, documentary, and cultural facilitation, Co-Climate operates at the intersection of ecology, gender equality, migration, and collective memory.

The platform focuses on creating ethical and collaborative storytelling processes that prioritize participation, shared authorship, and long-term engagement over extractive or one-off productions. Through film, participatory workshops, and narrative-based research, Co-Climate works with communities, cultural institutions, and policy-oriented spaces to make the human dimensions of the climate crisis visible.

Co-Climate’s practice is grounded in the belief that climate change is not only an environmental or technical challenge, but also a cultural and social one. By centering lived experiences, especially those of women and underrepresented communities, Co-Climate contributes to more inclusive, reflective, and impactful climate narratives.

History

Aytül Yüksel is a social entrepreneur, producer, and storyteller whose work over nearly two decades has focused on sustainability, climate change, and social impact. Over the past ten years, her practice has centered on communication, education, and project development, with a strong emphasis on building culture, dialogue, and collective awareness around climate-related issues.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with multinational companies, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, and civil society networks, developing partnerships that combine environmental responsibility with social benefit. Her earlier work includes founding Defans Agency and initiating İklimler Güzeldir, both of which played a formative role in shaping her approach to storytelling, public engagement, and impact-driven communication.

Motivated by the need to move beyond conventional sustainability narratives and to engage more deeply with the cultural and human dimensions of the climate crisis, she founded Co-Climate as a creative production platform. Through Co-Climate, she develops participatory film, documentary, and storytelling projects that connect communities, institutions, and policy spaces across Europe and beyond.
